THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS-2

Everyone who has ever come across me would tell you what an astro freak I am! I talk, think, eat, sleep, and walk astrology. Whenever I come across any interesting person my first thought and question is not about their names or professions but about their birth date. I can proudly say that I am a walking encyclopedia of the different zodiac signs and their characteristics (Yes, I am the LEO who boasts!)

 In my last post I examined the universal seven deadly sins. This time I present the prime sin that’s characteristic of every zodiac sign and that creeps in even after continued remedial efforts. However, with careful knowledge and application, these can be reduced to a harmless extent. Having said that, it’s important to note that all the sins are present in all the signs in varying amounts and here I’ve only pointed out the ones most dominant in the nature of the natives of the different zodiac signs. There is no hard and fast rule and individual differences abound. The information provided here is based only on my experience and research over a span of 8 years:

1. ARIES- The primary sin that the first sign of zodiac cycle indulges in is ENVY. The highly competitive fire sign compares oneself with others, often measuring success in terms of physical or tangible assets. It’s not hard to find an immensely talented and successful Arian with little or no happiness in personal life. Aries are dreamers who achieve by improving upon the mistakes of others and in the process are transformed into perfectionists.
   
   
2. TAURUS- Earthly practical Taurians have one thing in abundance: Ego. Their PRIDE inclines towards dangerously high and they can never take it in their stride that a close friend might be better than them at something they excel in. While outwardly calm, the interiors often burn with the desire to prove themselves time and again and hence, Taurians who excel academically and professionally are a plenty.
   
   
3. GEMINI- This intelligent zodiac sign is a combination of multiple personalities; one day its sweet and kind and the next day it’s highly ambitious and diligent. Gemini dream big and are prone to ENVY. The good thing is that the people they hold dear to are never the target of this sin and it is always aimed at the high achievers they don’t personally know. Sadly, once jealousy sets in a Gemini will always hate that person for disturbing their mental peace.
   
   
4. CANCER- Peace-loving Cancerians love comfort more than anything else and they believe in slogging towards achieving it. Their vice is GLUTTONY, or seeking more than is necessary. Be it education, money, love, food or even a roof over their heads, this sign always seeks for more in order to satisfy an alarmingly high sense of security.
   
   
5. LEO- With the motto “I am the greatest and you better respect me”, Leos are the biggest victims of PRIDE. The people under this sign are prone to taking success to their heads. Having been gifted with great talent, fame and recognition come easy for them. Coincidentally, the biggest aim in a Leo’s life is to know and be known by one and all. It makes them egoistic, making it hard for them to understand why they start repelling even their most loyal friends after sometime.
   
   
6. VIRGO- Clever and manipulative Virgos are hard to figure out. Their basic aim is to achieve a position of high power in their fields of work and they work extremely hard for it. The next aim is being very popular in their social circle; almost always they aim to be the nucleus of their group. Hidden beneath is the sin of GLUTTONY and no matter how huge an honor they achieve Virgos are never satisfied and always remain critical of themselves and others.
   
   
7. LIBRA- Cool and stylish Librans are the kings/queens of diplomacy. They can get along well with almost anyone as and when they find it beneficial. Relationships are mostly based on give and take rather than pure emotion. They want more and more and more of prestige, power, influential contacts and money. Their GREED is big!
   
   
8. SCORPIO- The eighth sign of the zodiac rules the sex organs and no other zodiac sign can match their curiosity, knowledge, drive or appetite for sex. Also, the natives of this zodiac sign have lethal sex appeal and incredible sexual prowess. However, their LUST is not limited to sex. Their main game is for Power. Their lust for power drives them to achieve extraordinary feats while also engaging in dirty politics for which they receive harsh criticism and fierce enemies.
   
   
9. SAGGITARIUS- If you ever had the opportunity to know a Saggitarian really from up close, you would notice that the only people they are really concerned about are themselves. Whether you are a beauty pageant winner, a low-earning individual or the President, Saggis just don’t care and that is until and unless you form close bonds with them. They would give up their lives for people they love. The only criterion is they should love them back.  Their PRIDE translates into enormously high ego and often they form the misconception and they deserve all the attention, affection and even worship in the world!
   
   
10. CAPRICORN- This is the sign of the achiever. Capricorns leave no stone unturned to reach their dream position in life. They also aim for adulation and fan following and in order to achieve that, make many personal sacrifices. Climbing up the social ladder is as important to them as achieving their aim. GREED is their real sin as often one finds Capricorns succumbing to all sorts of societal pressures and adjusting to accommodate their ambitions so as to be paid highest in a socially-approved manner, sometimes compromising on ethics or moral values.
    
    
11. AQUARIUS- Aquarians are the philosophers of the zodiac signs. Being an Air sign, it’s easy for them to be lost in a dreamy state. They are most comfortable in their bubble. Their PRIDE knows no bounds. They are always full of magnetic self-confidence which many find offending. Aquarians play to win and rely on their confidence to lead them forward. For them their self-respect is supreme and anyone challenging it even in the most joyful manner is as good an enemy as any other and because of this they do not accept criticism very well.
    
    
12. PISCES- The natives of this zodiac sign are the labeled as dreamers. They dream of an idealistic world with purity in all forms of conduct. They try and live with those ideals as much as possible, often challenging the society. Pisceans are perfectionists and its all or nothing for them. Due to this they are prone to SLOTH but once they find their true aim, nothing can stop them from achieving it perfectly in an idealistic manner.
